I am currently conducting a quantitative research, using linear regression.
My 1st hypothesis says that A has a positive effect and my 2nd hypothesis says that B has a positive moderating effect on the effect of A on the outcome.
When I run a Model (1) only with A and controls, A seems to be significant. However, in Model 3 A is not significant anymore but the interaction term A x B is.
Are both hypothesis confirmed now? I do not really now, how to interpret these models.

If I understand well your third model only wants to confirm the moderating effect, according to your results if it is significant, I would recommend a moderating analysis with AMOS or R that allows a more precise analysis of your results.
Cristian Ramos-Vera thank you very much! I will consider that. Is my first hypothesis also valid because of Model 1 though?
If clear hypothesis 1 also validates I believe that it affects in the model 3 due to the low level of effect of its analyses.

Effects A and B are minimal which seems to affect moderation negatively.
