How to interpret data when it is well fitted by several candidate models?

My annual peak flow data are fitted with both Gumbel (light tail) and Lognormal (Heavy tail) distributions with similar AIC/BIC values. I am struggling with how to interpret such results. Any suggestions would be a great help to me.
