Principal component analysis basically rotates the frame of reference (the co-ordinate axes) in such a way as to maximize the scatter along the 1st dimension (x-axis), next max in 2nd dimension (y-axis) etc. It's a geometrical transformation which is done in order to get a different "view" of the data, which often enables better interpretation. The component transformation matrix tells you how the optimal "rotation" is done.
We will ignore this; it was used to convert the initial factor matrix into the rotated factor matrix. No interpretation for the component transformation matrix.
I calculate Factor Analysis manually in Ms Excel. I don't have an idea to get component transformation matrix in excel. Can you please explain the procedure?
