Why don’t find a clear and good way to keep the validated questionnaire apart from your additional question, so you can clearly tell what is what for evaluating validity. That will be honest and understood by reviewers and readers of your research results.
However, as translation of a validated questionnaire is a lot of work as well, you could maybe think of extendIng the process to a new validation, with your addition included. That extra work is more motivated if you think that the new bigger questionnaire would be useful also for other researchers. In cooperation or co-understanding with the researchers behind the original questionnaire of course.

In general, 2 acceptable ways for adding a new item in a questionnaire: 1st by your literature review if you find strong evidence that your new item contributes to the measurement of your variable. 2nd from previous studies, if the item that you’re planning to add has been included by any other researcher for the meadurement of your variable. Either ways can efficiently justify the use of a new item in your questionnaire. And this will be YOUR contribution to the existing questionnaire.
