Hi All,

I am working with the budding yeast strain w303alpha. For some experiments I would like to inhibit or knock out activity of the nonsense mediated decay (NMD) pathway. My experiments would require NMD inhibition without being lethal to the yeast. I am not too familiar with the proteins involved in NMD. I know UPF1 is a key protein in this pathway and I could knock it out. Does anyone have experience in manipulating NMD in yeast? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much!

Elliott
