I have synthesized Y-zeolite with Si/Al ratio of 2.5 using a hydrothermal method and dried without any calcination step. After drying, I made NH4+ form of the zeolite via successive ion-exchange steps. The main goal is to convert NH4Y to ultrastable Y(USY) zeolite using high temperature steaming. However, XRD pattern shows that the zeolite loses its crystalline structure during steaming and becomes amorphous.

Any suggestion on how to improve the stability of zeolite framework under steaming without using rare earth metals?
