in my opinion, if your paper will be publicated in native language it is not big problem to understand your paper. Now I want to share my experience. I usually use Online translator "PROMPT" on the link http://www.online-translator.com/ in order to understand very long papers in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish in my native Russian. If your paper will be written in native Polish it is not big problem too. To understand your paper in Polish I will use the link http://polish-russian.translate.ua/ru . Please, compare:

Text 1. Original question in English: "How to improve the content ... "

Text 2. Translation from Text 1 to Russian: "Как улучшить содержание ..."

Text 3. Translation from Text 2 to English

"How to improve contents of the manuscript? Updates and English native speaker?

To the authors which native language not English, advise to address for council of the native speaker of English before to present them to the manuscript. There are many associations which do it for money. You have any experience? You know any website with the separate offer? I personally worked only with the American Editors of the Manuscript. It is quite good association. They take $0.03 for the word (many words from MS Word). The price isn't so high but if the salary makes $800-900, it is a lot of money (the average account makes $100-150)."

Text 4. Translation from Text 3 to Russian

In my view, I don't see any difference between "Text 1" and "Text 3" in English and any difference between "Text 2" and "Text 4" in Russian.

Using this opportunity, I want to recommend to present answers in any language but not only in English. As to me, sense of the text is more important than language of the text. If I will be interested to know the sense of answer I always will find an Online Translator to understand this answer. As example, I saw some answers on ResearchGate in other languages (in Spanish and Portuguese). To understand the sense of these texts (in Russian) I used "PROMPT".

Thank you for your answer. I understand that we can used a different program to translate an article. However, many journal would like to publicate only article which has very good level of the english. The revievers don't have time to check article with poor english. They don't understand that article. In my opinion, proofreading is very important.

This is my first humble attempt to present an answer in ResearchGate in native language. In my view, this experiment was not bad at all. As to me, I more interested to know about 'high-quality' sence of answers presented than about high-quality English. As Researchgate gives opportunity for informal communication between researchers, I think that any language but English could be used. This is my personal opinion. As before, I don't consider that any language is the big problem to understand thoughts of researchers. Concerning your phrase "The revievers don't have time to check article with poor english. In my opinion, proofreading is very important." my answer would be the following: Currently, in the most of cases, paper publication process is the big business for Journal publishing papers in English.

Using an English expert who is familiar with your scientific decipline would be the best choice. Since in proofreading we should consider 2 different and important options; 1) general word choice and grammar, 2) scientific language structure and technical words. As a technical editor and reviewer of Iranian Journal of Biotechnology (ISI) mostly I work with persons as English editors who are expert in both English language and Biotechnology. Using online editing services or other similar ways would not be the choice for professional researchers. One of the organizations who offered professional service is Editage but it may cost 100 to 150 $.

If I may add to the good advice already given...

While it is often true that 'you get what you pay for'  (i.e. hire an editor, eat the expense, and get it done) don't overlook the value of collegial networking and 'paying forward' as you hone your own writing and editing skills.  

Today you help a colleague who needs some help with 'non-optimal alternatives'  or 'fuzzy logic'  and tomorrow they find time to give your paper a read or recommend a friend who can help with some grammar and syntax.

Offer some of your time and skills pro bono, you may be surprised at the doors that open.
