Thanks for the suggestion, dr. Nima, but I couldn't find the solution in there, unfortunately.

Apparently, when installing CopyCaller, an example of the .txt file (and .csv file) is installed too (see atttached). But to manually copy/paste all Cq values I get from LightCycler is very laborious and error-prone.

Hey, I just installed Copycaller for first time on this laptop. Just tried and it worked for me with no hickups or any special actions using the txt file you shared.

Maybe try the good old fashioned "reboot".

Or uninstall Copycaller completely and reinstall it?

nvm I misread, i see your point..

So the only way I see would be to copy (Control+A) the exported .txt from the Light cycler and paste it to a new excel sheet. It should be formatted correctly to have all the ct values in one column. Select this column and copy/paste it to the example spreadsheet, in the correct column, provided by Copycaller.

You can do this with the other categories as well (sample name, well, etc).

It would be tedious but certainly not error prone since no changes to the cells will be made (only copy and paste).

Thanks Daniel, this seemed like the easiest approach. This still wouldn't do the trick. Both saving the files as a .txt or a .csv would still not let me import the data. The .csv file just gave the same error message, and the .txt file did not load at all..
