I'm using python 3.6 on spyder 3.3 (Anaconda) and I use lib cv2 but it doesn't work. It gives me " DLL load failed: The specified module could not be found "
When I did search about this problem I found that I should put the file cv2 in site-packages folder. and I did, but the error still here.
Any help??????????

Dear Shaimaa Muhammad, the best way to use cv2 library is to download a binary file ready to work in Windows for your python version.
Binary files for Windows are available in this website:
https://www.lfd.uci.edu/~gohlke/pythonlibs/
You should go to the OpenCV part and download the binary by your python version
and your OS architecture.
Let's suppose you have:
Python version 3.6
Windows x64
Then, you should download (either a or b):
a) opencv_python‑3.4.2‑cp36‑cp36m‑win_amd64.whl
b)
opencv_python‑3.4.2+contrib‑cp36‑cp36m‑win_amd64.whl
Then in a command prompt console or you should type (a or b):
a) pip install file_path/opencv_python‑3.4.2‑cp36‑cp36m‑win_amd64.whl
b) pip install file_path/opencv_python‑3.4.2+contrib‑cp36‑cp36m‑win_amd64.whl
where file_path is the path of the folder where the *.whl file was downloaded.
OBS: If you have an anaconda prompt, use it instead the common Windows prompt.
Irving D. Hernandez Unfortunately, the error still exists. I did all the steps and I had already installed OpenCV and numpy before. I think I'm having a conflict issue but I don't know how to solve it.
Dear Shaimaa Muhammad, please follow the steps of the attached video. If you have problems with this installation I recommend to uninstall and re-install the anaconda. Then follow, again, the steps in the video.
After install in the Anaconda Prompt, the cv2 library will be available in all python ecosystem, like Jupyter, Nteract, Spyder, or third party IDES like PyCharm, Sublime, etc.

Its good it worked, but i faced some " DLL load failed” when import cv2 (opencv)" when trying to import cv2. I tried many different solution but did not work for me.After few our of search it turned out to be a window related issue for windows N distributions which does not come with window media feature pack. You can download it from "https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/mediafeaturepack" and install it. Hope it will help.

I had the same problem before when I tried to use cv2 with Spyder. I solved it by only installing opencv through Anaconda Prompt as follows:
conda install opencv
It took some time to start, and around 15 minutes to finish. In the middle I needed to approve the downgrading of some packages with an "Y" (yes).
Now it works perfectly.

I had a similar problem using Anaconda (Python 3.7) in Ubuntu. After several attempts I finally reinstall opencv using pip (in anaconda prompt)
pip install opencv-python
since then everything works fine for me.

Hola Irving D. Hernandez Yo he tenido necesariamente que instalar desde el Environment de Anaconda para poder usarlo. El fichero whl lo he instalado y me funciona pero solamente en el IDLE de python. Para usarlo en Jupyter (Anaconda) o Pycharm incluso; además de instalar el whl en el promp tengo que decirle que los instale desde el Jupyter o el Setting de Pycharm. Al menos así me ha pasado a mí.
Pero lo que señalas si es una opción viable.

install opencv..
i use ananconda spyder(v3.3) and python(3.7)..on windows7 and works properly
