The modified Mood test for the scale alternative and its numerical comparisons - Murakami 2015
Hi! About this article, I'm implementing the test in Excel. However, I cannot get the same results with the equation provided in the article. I understand that "i" ranges from 1 to 20 (N = 20, which are n1 and n2 combined). So we have 1 - ((20+1)/2). This result is raised to p, which ranges, in the article, from 1 to 6 (being 5 and 6 the best for significance). After, I multiply (??) for Vi, which is 1, since the smallest value is on the X population. After that, sum every result for each i from 1 to 20. Did I understand it correctly? My Mp calculated this way is 2,807,434.06 for p = 6, and zero for every odd p value, while in the article, if p is 5 or 6, Mp is 0.0490 So, I'm sure I'm making wrong calculations, but I cannot find where the problem is. I would appreciate so much for any help.

If you supply the data and what the result is supposed to be, you might get some help. If you do so, please also explain any steps before this equation: What is V ? Is it rank-transformed or put in numerical order beforehand ?
In addition to the first answer I would suggest Excel is probably not the best choice of software.To be really helpful try R.. A good source is R for Everyone by jarad lander available at z-library. Good luck, David Booth
