I would like to know how this periodic boundary condition is implemented in OpenFOAM. I dint find any material regarding this in internet.

Did you solve the fully developed channel flow using cyclic/periodic BC? I am trying to solve similar problem (duct) using simplefoam with e-epsilon model using cyclic inlet and outlet. But my case is having convergence issue for pressure. my case files are available in the following link.

I solved 2D case with periodic boundary condition using fvOption functionality. Following sites may be useful for understanding fvOption.
