You may start -if you have not- with the traditional literature on contingency theory published in the 70ties and 80ties (among others Mintzberg, Miller, Friesen, Snow, Miles) as they basically argue that misfit of competitive environment - strategy - structure leads to underperformance. You may find ideas how to measure it as well in this literature. Using google scholar for forward citations may open you the way to more recent contributions and most likely new terminology.

I would answer you question in two dimensions, the obvios one: from the corporate perspective. You should have defined a Philosophy (Mission, Vision, Values), define a business model (Business Model Canvas is the one we use), then the structure must be aligned to the business model; if the structure is not aligned, then you have a pathology. The second one, the one that we are using the most in our consultancy practice and making some research on it, is centering in the person. Of course you must have defined the philosophy an business model, but, the must important issue (in our point of view) is that the personal philosophy of the employee is aligned with the one of the company, that way you would have a health employee and a health structure.
