Industries need skilled people, but not able to get. On the other hand students after their graduation find it difficult to get their desired job due to lack of technical and soft skills. If we help and motivate them for acquiring required skills it may solve the problem of industries as well as new generation.
This is not rocket science; just make work-placed learning (as internship periods) a bigger part of the education, or shift to apprentice learning models if possible. Remember that ”school” on all levels can be seen as a necessary construct to help people get into a meaningful function in the society, and that the best learning situation is probably the environment for which a student is educated; ”situated learning” (Lave and Wenger, 1991). However, if we demand that all learning a person need should happen in schools, we are in for trouble.
It is very important to provide students with technical and soft skills by asking them to perform graduate research that requires them to use these skills and teach them how to use them to obtain their research data .

Along with teaching of technical skills, we must introduce Psychological and Personality Development Subject to develop the soft skills.
Doing a semester of internship in the industry must be made mandatory. This is where they would learn the practical skills that makes them more employable in the field.
Active learning is known to help students to be more ready for jobs. We have labs; industrial projects and work placements. I also organize activities where students duscuss to solve technical problems in groups of three or four students.
