Q is the most important factor from my point of view and this factor can not be developed and increased efficiency without the emotional quotient. The former represents the base, while the second plays the first complement to the student's success
IQ is just like you have an ACE, KING, QUEEN and JACK with you
And EQ is having simple numbers like 5,6,7,9 or 10
Now if you do not howto use your good cards, youmay have an excellent IQ but poor EQ and probability is you will loose provided you were the blessed ones
But if you have second scenario numbers like 5,6,7,9 or 10 but you know how to play them,i guess you will play better.
So IQ is gifted but how to use your IQ is termed EQ. A better combination is desirable.
The combination of efforts ( in Sanskrit efforts is known as Karm), emotion ( known as Bhakti) and intelligence ( known as Ghyan) will lead us towards success. In short HW+EQ+IQ ( hard work+emotion quotient+ intelligence quotient) are required for grand success.

Lord Ganesha ( Indian God) is symbolic answer of your puzzle. Ganesh has two teeth, one for intelligence (Budhi) which is smaller and one for emotion (Shradha) which is better or full length. It show for successful society more emotional people are required. For any successful assignment, devoted and committed people is more useful than intelligent people.
IQ and EQ are both important. IQ will help a person set goals and pursue them. However, in this complex world where partnerships and collaborations are essential, the person will not be able to keep the initial success if EQ is lacking,
