I have designed a rectangular patch antenna for a frequency of 2.4Ghz using Rogers 5880 as my substrate material with a thickness of 1.6mm. But, my s-parameter graph does not show a graph with the antenna resonating at the specified frequency. How to get the antenna to resonate at the required frequency with the ideal magnitude in the s-parameter graph?
I feel there is some problem with some settings in my software because I should be able to get a decent amount of magnitude even if the parameters haven't been optimized.
This is poor matching, all of the power is getting reflected. So, to have resonance at a particular frequency the dimensions must be calculated with for that, then optimize the results by refining the dimensions. For minimizing the reflected power, use impedance matching techniques.
Try to use the Lambda=C / (fr * (epsilon)^2) carefully. In which as you know fr is the resonance frequency. We should take the size of the resonating components of the antenna about Lambda/2 or Lambda/4. Besides, we need to make sure that our feeding port has a good impedance matching with 50 Ohms, cause usually the default values for the impedance of the waveguide port as well as the impedance of coaxial cable is 50 ohms. I usually use the calculator websites such as the following to get a good value for the dimensions of the microstrip line, in case you have a microstrip line for feeding.Have a look:

there are actually different approaches. You can have a look at the current distribution in your simulations and see which part of the antenna has the strongest current value, that would intuitively show that that is the main resonator in the antenna, so you can focus on the dimension engineering of that part.
However, I don't know what antenna or feed you are using but feel free to use optimizer too. There as you know you can always adjust the favorite S-values. E.g. you can set , in the frequency band f1 to f2 I want to have |S11|
