Dear colleagues,

I was just wondering if you can suggest a good method to get a rough estimation to the concentration of O2 and H2O inside the glove box as unfortunately, our glove box doesn't have the sensors that can give accurate values for O2 and H2O in ppm. I have seen different methods such as light bulb test or using some chemicals that are sensitive to oxygen and/or moisture, but I am not sure which one is the best. In addition, can you please give me more details on the following two methods:

1-   Light bulb test, what kind of bulbs can be used for this test? and can the bulb be used for multiple times? or once the concentration of H2O and O2 is high, the bulb will permanently burn out? and how to make a hole within the glass of the bulb?

2- the utilization of Diethyl Zinc in hexane, Again I'd like to know if the bottle can be used for multiple times? also is it a safe method or might lead to some risks?

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Michael
