How to get rid of fungi contamination from Chlamydomonas culture?

Hi everyone! I ´ve been experiencing Chlamydomonas culture contamination I think it is a kind of fungi. Please, Can anyone give me some tips for avoiding contamination and how to obtain and axenic culture?

You can do serial dilution to get a pure culture. To avoid contamination, you must autoclave your media properly and autoclave the culture flask and all apparatus properly. Maintaining the cleanliness and aseptic condition during culture preparation can help you avoid contamination.

What I think is Dithiothreitol. As it is water-soluble and does not form a precipitate. But, the thing is it contains sulphur which is quite hazardous to aquatic animals.
