How to get rid from formation of chitosan nano fibers when formulating chitosan nano particles using ionic gelation method?

If briefly I explained then what I want to say is that whenever I am formulating chitosan nano particles, instead of getting nano particles I ended up with getting fibers in the solution so I can not get desired particle size.
