How to get results when using linear elements with UMATHTH?

I'm using UMATHTH in Abaqus for hydrogen diffusion on a tensile test. When switching from standard quadratic elements (reduced) to standard linear elements in the mesh module, the following error appears: The selected primary variable is not available in the current frame for any elements in the current display group.

The field output report shows NaN results for total H2 concentration (SDV16) for example

Does anyone know why this is happening? Thanks in advance
