Hi,
I want to perform a climate change impact/scenario analysis using the "HSPF" hydrological model for streamflow and some others outputs. For that, I need projected/future meteorological data time-series that I can use as input in my HSPF model. I am able to download precipitation, temp, wind, etc time-series projections for my desired period (2020-20100) from CMIP5 or CMIP6 climate models. However, I am not getting the "dew point temp" and "Solar Radiation" variables from these two climate models. Let me know if I am missing anything or if there is any other smart ways to get these two variables. Highly appreciate your help.
I just figured out that CMIPs have air temp(T) and relative humidity(rh), from which I can easily calculate dew point temp (td)
Td = T - ((100 - RH)/5) % all temps are in degree celsius and this formula is good for RH>50%
How about "Solar radiation/irradiance"?There are variables available in the CMIP models named "Shortwave Net Heat Flux (W/m**2)", "Shortwave Down Heat Flux (W/m**2)", "Latent Heat Flux (W/m**2)", "Latent heat flux" etc.

There are better formulas to obtain TD from T and RH. See e.g. https://repository.library.noaa.gov/view/noaa/19720
The global solar irradiance quantity you look for is apparently what is called "Shortwave Down Heat Flux (W/m**2)"
