Anyone knows how to calculate (or get from an open access database) the hourly mean natural ambient Illuminance at a specific location due to solar and lunar daily cycle?
If the database also account for cloud cover, it would be even better!
My study is located at the Qualicum Bay area (49°23'57.7"N 124°36'30.9"W; British Columbia, Canada) in May 2015

Have you checked Typical Meteorogical Years (TMY) weather data?
It can be downloaded at:

The file is in EPW format. it can be opened using notepad or spread sheet with comma (,) as delimiter.
It contains hourly solar radiation, ambient temperature, wind speed, including, Global Horizontal Illuminance (lux), Direct Normal Illuminance (lux), and Diffuse Horizontal Illuminance (lux).

However, after a quick look, all these databases don't seem to account for illuminance due to the lunar cycle. In fact, the data is collected at each month but at different years. The lunar cycle is shifted every year.
Any idea how to combine typical solar illuminance and lunar illuminance in the same continuous variable?
