To prepare a manuscript using Latex, pictures are usually inserted into it. But if the picture is of the extension of .png, or .jpeg, the quality gets poor. Hence, to get the best quality picture, what file format should be used and how?
well i usually go for .pdf format and it always works for me. I will suggest using inkscape for this purpose. But MATLAB, origin, etc. also provide the feature of saving graphs as high quality .pdf and other formats. However, some journals insist on providing .eps or .tiff formats.
Dear Mr. Sobhan Sarkar , tiff format is recommended by a wide range of journals, but don't forget dpi which must be equalt to/hier than 300....(according to a journal requirement) dpi is very interesting in the improvement of image quality.
