Hi, to the best of my knowledge, the TORQUE system should be the most widely used job management system in the fields of high performance computing including molecular dynamics simulations and first principle simulations. Due to various reasons, sometimes the job may terminate suddenly before the job finish, it would be useful if a message can be send by an email if such an unexpected termination happens. Does anyone know how to set the TORQUE on the HPC to accomplish this goal?

, recently I faced another problem when I use Torque on another HPC if I want emails to be sent.We have another small HPC and I started to use it recently. But on that HPC, if I use
#PBS -M my_email_address
#PBS -m abe
in the PBS script, nothing happens when the job is started or ended.
It seems that the problem is that the HPC should be set to have the function to send emails. Although I searched a lot, I did not find a solution yet. The OS of the small HPC is CentOS 6.4. Do you have any idea how to set this?
