I tried to directly cut the cell with a glass-cutter, but the cross-section is not very flat and couldn't focus very well in SEM. I deposited a very thin Au layer but still make any change to it. I searched online and found someone did it by glass-cutter and liquid nitrogen flip, and some papers mentioned using FIB for this SEM image. May I ask which should be the best way for taking this cross-section SEM image? Are there any specific concerns that I have to take care of during the process?
