in my research, I have three ordinal independent variables (Likert scale) and one ordinal dependent variable (Likert scale), how to formulate the equation between these variables?
the dependent variable is the perception
and the independent variables are the expectation, experience and goal of using
in regression, the model is:
Y = B0 + B1*X1 + B2*X2 ... + E
so,
Y (likert scale) = B0 + B1*Lik1 + B2*Lik2 + B3*Lik3 + E
Are you use Ordinal Logistic Regression ?
so you must ensure that the odds are proportional along the Y. Let's say your Y is: little, medium, and a lot. The probability of a person choosing "a little" is equal to the probability of choosing "average" and "a lot". The betas must be the same for the three measures of Y.
