How to fix “PDA detector cannot start after the analysis runs” error in Shimadzu LabSolutions?

Hi everyone,

I’m facing an issue with our Shimadzu Prominence HPLC system (CBM-20A, SPD-M20A, CTO-20A) running on LabSolutions version 5.10.153.

Whenever we try to start a run (any method), we get the following error:

"PDA detector cannot start after the analysis runs."

So far, we’ve checked the following (as per Shimadzu’s Ethernet PDA checklist):

The CBM-20A controller and SPD-M20A detector are in the same IP subnet.

LAN cables are properly connected and ports verified.

Group Name is identical for both CBM and PDA.

The System Name of the CBM is correctly entered into the PDA’s Master Server Name field.

We’ve attached photos of the setup and the error screen (see below).

Has anyone encountered a similar problem? Any suggestions on what else we could check?
