I'm trying to install the amber 11 on ubuntu 14.04, during this I'm facing this error
" configuring fftw-3.2.2 (may be time-consuming)...
./configure: 1663: cd: can't cd to fftw-3.2.2
Error: fftw configure returned 2
FFTW configure failed! check the fftw3-config.log file"
please see the bottom of the attached file
Clearly it is looking for a directory called fftw-3.2.2 in the current directory; it complains because it can't find it. You might be better off installing the version that comes with ubuntu (sudo apt-get install fftw-dev); failing that, download the archive of fftw-3.2.2 (from ftp://ftp.fftw.org/pub/fftw/fftw-3.2.2.tar.gz) and extract it in the toplevel folder (i.e. where you are trying to run the above configuration script).

following installation I got this error when i tried to do
" cd $AMBERHOME
chmod 700 apply_bugfix.x
./apply_bugfix.x bugfix.all"
the Error is:

So, would you please help me to do in the right path?
Have you already successfully built and installed AmberTools 1.5?
You need to install AmberTools 1.5 before you can install Amber 11. That's a free download from the Amber web site (instructions for installation are available on the same site).
