Aspen Plus is not a good tool, neither to design crushers, nor to obtain economic data. The best is do do it in the old fashion way to talk with a vendor and to ask for a budget quote

For every crusher in Aspen Plus, range of flow rate is given. You can choose according to your need. But you should also check if it is suitable for that particular material or not.

Thank you Muhammad Shoaib Ahmed Khan My project is on LCA of pyrolysis of plastic to fuel oil. For that I am doing Aspen plus simulation for generating flowsheet. But I am getting problem at some points: 1) I am not able understand what type of crusher is to be used for shredding plastic. 2) I am using Ryield reactor using component yield as basis. But C and H atom is not balanced. It is coming as warning. Please suggest how to overcome these problems.

For crusher, you need to do some research either a research paper or crusher manufacturer's recommendations.

For mass balance, either you do it manually and put the direct values or you can use a calculator in the Ryield.
