I am currently carrying out the data analysis in SPSS of a questionnaire I made for my MSc dissertation and I need some help!

In the study (N=707) I have 7 groups of respondents who were exposed to different stimuli and later evaluated the following dimensions:

> "Negative Word of Mouth Intentions" (using a likert scale consisting of 3 items, each was evaluated from 1 to 7; 1 being completely disagree and 7 completely agree)

> "Organizational reputation" (using a likert scale consisting of 8 items, each evaluated from 1 to 7; 1 being completely disagree and 7 completely agree)

I want to compare the results between different groups in order to check if the diferent stimuli presented caused signficant differences in the evaluation of the 2 previous variables mentioned earlier, and to check what is the diference.

I would like your help with the following:

1_ I want to check 1st if the groups are comparable or not, in order to prove, there is a significant statistical differences between groups caused by the stimuli and not due to differences in the groups of respondents caused by having groups with different demografics

How can I check if there is or not a significant statistical difference in the demografic variables (which are nominal: i.e: age, gender, education, etc) among groups (which is also a nominal variable)?
