I have visited the SMARTest website and have gone through all the instructions given. But I can't find the area where i should input my sequence. Do I need to register at genomatix for that?

genomatix isn't free, no?

unfortunately i am not sure with it's license type we should contact genomatrix

In S/MART DB can I input my promoter sequence and check whether it has MAR sequence or not?

Also I visited the Meme suite suggested by Mr. Lepretre.. I saw there are several programs like Meme, Dreme, Glam2, Meme ChIP etc.. Which one should I use to find the S/MAR sequence?

marscan above can do that.

actually the search process at s/mart db is quite unfriendly, i suggest click browse and look in gene table for your gene of interest by clicking you would find the sequence information you can also do that using s/mar table or s/mar binding.

ths paper also has used DAVID annotation tool but can't figure out how
