I synthesis PANI by cyclic voltammetry on ITO (area 1.5 cm2), Ref. electrode Ag/AgCl & counter elelctrode is Platinum sheet. Electrolyte solution was 0.1M aniline + 1M H2SO4. CV run for 5 cycles with scan limit from -0.5 V to 1.5 V and scan rate 25 mV/sec, whose voltammogram is attached here.
I wish to synthesis PANI by potentiostatic & galvanostatic techniques. From cyclic voltammogram, how i can find polymerization potential and current density for synthesis of PANI by two above said techniques.
Your potentiostatic window is in the range from 1 to 1.2V - the second oxidative peak. Concerning galvanostatic mode - in order to have controlled film thickness - roughly notice the current under potentiostatic condition and try to use that value for galvanostatic deposition.
first of all for PANI you should change window from -0.2 to 1 V to eliminate the second peaks. i should see for each curve one oxidation and one reduction peak due to pesoudocapacitance. the window now is 1.2 V and current can be obtained by integration of area under the curve divided.
