Can someone explain me how to find out the Carbonyl and suphoxide indices in FTIR analysis. I have performed an FTIR on bitumenous blends but its quite heavy to conclude from that. I guess this will help me in getting some conclusion and identify a trend.

DMSO shows a sharp peak at 1,044 cm-1 implying that the band relates to oxidized methionine, i.e., methionine sulfoxide

Software is easy to calculate index. However, excel also can use. Multiple factor of peak wave numbers for carbonly and sulphoxides should be calculated based on unchanged group of wave numbers.
