Addendum to the previous suggestion....of course you have to use an organic solvent to extract your compound from aq 10% NaCl. The mentioned method is known and used because DMSO has a high boiling point. It is important that your compound dissolves better in an organic solvent than in water....you can use any available organic solvent that is not miscible with water.
