Hello everyone, do you know if there's a way to export the coordinates of all the points of my abaqus model to excel? i've add a Field Output "Coordinates" but i can't export them. Do you have any tips?
Could you please specify what you mean by "coordinates of all the points"?
If by "points" you mean the nodes then, for the undeformed shape, you may open the .inp file, go the meshed part you are interested in, coy-paste the data into a .txt file and open it with Excel or MatLab using a proper delimiter.
In the case you would like to know how each coordinate of each node changes as a result of loading then another approach should be followed.
Anargyros A. Karakalas I would create the graph of the final configuration in excel to have a more precise figure! so I need the yx coordinates of eache node
I think I understand now. So, there is a manual way to do what you are looking for that is really simple supposing that you do not have too many nodes. While you are at the Results tab, you can select the "Create XY Data" icon, then "ODB field Output" -> "Unique Nodal", check on the displacements you are interested in and then save them. After that, look for "Report" at the main toolbar and then "XY...". Select the displacements and perform the options that you would like to have regarding format etc. and Abaqus will create a .rpt file containing the results. Finally, you can take the displacements at the end of the analysis for each node and use them in Excel to calculate the final coordinates of each node.
