Hello everyone, I have to study how the plasticity change during the simulation in a single Node. In particular I need the maximum value for each step in the selected node. I have tried extracting PEEQ in xy data but the value in a step doesn’t correspond to the one showed in the graphic interface. Abaqus gives me 4 vectors for 4 different SPs. What does SP means? And what is the relationship between the max value for the step and the values given by Abaqus in xy data? How can I find what I need?
1) PEEQ is not a vector quantity, rather a scalar. Refere to Abaqus analysis manual->materials->inelastic mechanical properties->metal plasticity. it's accumulated equivalent plastic strain increment
2) PEEQ is element quantity; i.e., it's calculated at element integration point. nodal values are extrapolated from integration point.
3) SP = section points...through thickness integration
4) contours on graphical interface are averaged over nodal data, therefore may not be the same as what is being extracted using xy data. both will be very close to each other if there is not high gradient (smooth transition of colors)
PEEQ is equivalent plastic strain. SP stands for 'Section point'. These exist in beam and shell elements and provide the spatial resolution through the thickness.
Unfortunately, PEEQ nodal (averaged) value can be requested only as field data, not as history data. The next lines in .inp file allow to write this value (for every increment) to .dat file in tabular form and later extract rows corresponding to single Node and find their maximum value:

Here element set Name includes all elements adjoining to single Node. Recorded values are the same as probing results from viewport.
Of course, more elegant approach is to use script.
