How to estimate the variance explained for each individual path in a structural model? Can it be estimated by multiplying path coefficient with the correlation between the constructs? If yes, please provide some references.
Estimate shows the impact how much influence of each construct has on dv, however U can use single construct at time to explore variance of each variable. But in overall model Estimate/Beta shows the influence of IV on DV.
Thanks for the insight. I am an AMOS user and AMOS provides R-square for endogenous constructs and not for exogenous constructs. In an online discussion, I came across a opinion that variance explained can be calculated by multiplying construct correlation and path coefficient. Is this valid, if done for an exogenous construct?
