How to estimate the grid frequency in a PLL-less grid connected PV system?

Hello everyone,

I have designed a PLL-less grid-connected PV system. I want to measure the frequency of the grid voltages.How can I measure the grid frequency without the PLL unit?

Is "PLL-less" to be understood as "we have a quartz oscillatot but no PLL" or does your hardware lack any reasonably stable clock source?

Frequency measurement can be implemented as a period measurement, not much different from stopwatch time taking.
