As we know, all kinds of structures in the field of civil engineering are not set in stone(such as fissure、subsidence and deformation), because the influence of forces or effects, which means these structures are deformed objects. And the deformed structures is a concept in geometry but there is less research to aware and measure them in the field of machine vision except adding sth. on/in the struction (I think it isn't to measure, but to search information in one system. The car and the tree beside the street are different system, right?). In the passed time, we just use displacement or deformation to describe the effect of forcing the structure. Even we come up with wave mechanics, but these methods or thory cannot escape for the deformation or displacement which is just one feature of the geometry response of the structure.
