I have an image (most likely a spectrogram), may be square or rectangle, won't know until received. I need to down sample one axis, say the 'x' axis. So if a spectrogram, I will be down sampling the frequencies (the time, 'y' axis, would remain the same). I was thinking of doing a nearest neighbor of the frequency components.
