I am using topspin 4.1 software and my sample is in D2O solvent with significant amount of water. please suggest me how to proceed with water suppression.
Also If anyone can refer me to any articles which discusses the method in details.

on most Brüker spectrometers you have a pulse sequence programmed for that already (usually called WET)
essentially, during the experiment the resonance frequencies corresponding to water molecules are saturated by irradiation with narrow RF pulses selective of that area, but any of your peaks situated in the same region will also be affected.

First of all, if the resolution is poor, it will not be talked about. Even if it looks good, if the bottom is disturbed, this will have a fatal effect. The Z4 and Z3 terms should be adjusted strictly. For older devices, the effect can be seen by adjusting the observation center to the solvent signal.
