Personally, I do not see the point why to use fuzzy control for motor drives at all. Electrical drive systems can be considered to be fully deterministic (except measurement noise) while their dynamics are well understood and easy to model. Hence, there is no fuzziness / stochastic impact within a drive system which would justify fuzzy logic based control actions.
