Hello,

I am trying to use a reaction kinetic model (see the attached pdf) in a RPLUG reactor in Aspen Plus. If you see the attached paper, the reaction rate expression doesn't follow the Aspen Plus template for LHHW kinetics (even if the authors mention that the reaction rates are calculated based on two-site LHHW model). Therefore, I was wondering if I could use the Aspen Simulation Workbook, an add-in of Aspen Plus in Excel, to define the reaction rate expression and use the resulting reaction rate value for the calculation of the concentration of the components in the outlet stream connected to RPLUG reactor in Aspen Plus.

I know that there is a possibility of modelling reaction kinetics in Fortran and linking it to Aspen Plus USER Subroutine under 'Reaction Set' definition. However, that methodology is complex and time taking as I don't know how to code in Fortran and I will need time to learn it. Therefore, I am exploring a solution through this Aspen Simulation Workbook Pathway.

Thank you in advance!
