I appreciate if you could demonstrate in details how to establish Kamlet-Taft equation for the studied compound. (intercept and coefficient for alpha, beta and pi-star solvent parameters). Frankly, i have weak math. background.

5. one window will display with many option, select the regression
6. One new window will come, input Y-range put the wavelength maximum (in cm -1) by selecting that and input x-range put p*, a and b together by selecting those columns
7. Put confidence level >95%]
8. Ok
9. One new page will come with all the information

1) the confidence level should be 95 or 96 or 97 or 98 or 99 and what what does it mean???
2) I googled and founf people uses "Solver" in excel. What is solver, how to apply it to get coefficients of kamlet-Taft? would it be different from using "regression" ???
