Can you understand the attached picture ?
1) use, Custom Field Functions to add your velocity function.
2) clink On to Data Sampling for Time Statistics with your desire Sampling Interval and mention the highlighted the function. as shown in the given picture.
3) go to In the initialize window and click on " Reset Statistics"

In an unsteady flow, i am going to draw mean velocity and RMS profiles ranged time from 0 to 4 seconds.

Thanks for your great response.
I did not select data sampling, and I want to plot the time-averaged velocity via Fluent of cfd-post. Running the simulations again will take lots of time so what should I do?

What I came to know after I posted the question on ANSYS student forum is that if data sampling was not selected, then it would require a script to extract the time-averaged velocity, which I have no idea how to do it.
@ Muhammad Furqan Ali, could you please explain what is the function of Sampling Interval number?
Is it the nth time-step which will be taken for averaging purpose?
For example in the simulation case from your screenshot, the Sampling Interval value is 25. Does this mean Fluent will use every 25th time-step's value for averaging?

..I think by script they meant a code. You can export the saved data-files into excel or matlab, and then find the average/mean manually or by code.
I hope you have saved (automatically) the data files for different time-steps in regular intervals.
If not, then resume the simulation with Data Sampling activated, and run for adequate of flow-through times to get averaged-data.
Dear researcher, you can use ANSYS transient analysis module. with all respect.
If you enable the Data Sampling for Time Statistics option in the Run Calculation Task Page, ANSYS Fluent will compute the time average (mean) value

For ansys fluent, you can choose to plot the unsteady statistics such as mean velocity magnitude or RMS velocity in the Monitor section. So you can see the stability of your solutions during calculation.
