Various studies have used DMSO as a solvent but it is not dissolved. Some others have used autoclaved water. When we pore that suspension to the media plate it will be settled down at the bottom during the incubation period.

A solution that should work would be to grow the microbes in a broth and put them on a orbital plate to mix the contents with the sample.
