I separated a crude plant extract into fractions on a silica column using ethyl acetate and hexane, now I want to look at the fractions using LC/MS. The problem is that our instrument room only allows us to use methanol:water or acetonitrile:water on a reverse phase column. My active fractions are insoluble in methanol and acetonitrile, is there anything I can use to help solubilize them that would be compatible with LC/MS?
