I currently have an aqueous suspension of nano-diamonds which I plan to spin coat on cover slips or microscope slides and study the optical properties of Nitrogen Vacancy centers. To this end, I am considering dispersing the nano-diamond solution in a PMMA matrix to obtain a uniform thin film of the same. Since PMMA and water are not miscible, I am looking forward to suggestions for overcoming this predicament.
I am highly interested in isolating a single nano-diamond for future intensity correlation studies which demands that there is no particle agglomeration
You could lyophilize the solution that has nanodiamonds and these later disperse them in the PMMA using ultrasound to achieve a good dispersion
I think you can help my articles. At the same time, I recommend that you use polystyrene, because there are many difficulties in working with PMMA.
