whether the functionalities in the reducing agent effects the Id/Ig ratio of reduced graphene oxide???
Iam working on the synthesis of reduced graphene oxide using green reducing agents. I found that Id/Ig ratio after reduction is decreasing and increasing with change of reducing agent. Can somebody explain me the factors responsible for the change of Id/Ig ratio with suitable example.
I do agree with Mr. Tiwari. Raman is a strong tool to differentiate b/w GO and rGO. You may refer the work of CNR Rao et. al. also.

ID/IG increases if GO is reduced in terms of C=O functionality by leaving the defects behind.
ID/IG decreases if In addition to the reduction of GO, healing or restoration of pi conjugation occurs in the RGO.
