If you want to learn how to design Type-2 fuzzy logic controllers, the book "Uncertain Rule-Based Fuzzy Logic Systems: Introduction and New Directions" by Prof. Jerry M. Mendel (Prentice-Hall, 2001), proves to be a valuable resource to work with Type-2 fuzzy sets in particular. A 2nd edition (2017) is also available and it is published by Springer.
