1. The frequency you are using is right.

2. You can either calculate the phase angle but if you do not know much about motors, you could determine it by supplying current inside only one coil (low amount of current, just enough to compensate cogging, not 1000 A.turns, 0 to others). If with that, you plot the torque vs angular position of the rotor, you will have a bell-curve. The phase angle corresponds to the angular position where the torque is maximum.

3. For the amount of current to supply, I can't answer. Current is drawn by the machine, depending on the load. What load and torque constant do you have? If you can't answer that, you should at least be able to know what power is required. With this, you get to know the torque required. Then, you can vary the current to obtain the required torque with your simulations.

You may like to consider following:

1. A host of assumptions are needed to analyze this problem

some are mentioned below.

2 .Synchronization is assumed.(Nrpm =120F/P is ok)

3. Current magnitude is below stabilizing H of permanent magnet

4. Grossly sinusoidal B airgap and non saliency is assumed.

A possible approx aproach is as below:

1. Obtain at specified speed the voltage at phase say A (no load)=E0

2. Also obtain by some light loading as a generator the series

sync impedance Xs , neglect resistance of stator.

3. Then we have a simple model of the machine viz

Ia = Im sin(wt +theta) (Im < demagnetizing current )

Theta = angle wrt E0.

Draw a vector diagram with E0 peak value as reference

Draw a circle on vector tip E0 with magn Im*Xs . This gives the locus of terminal voltage Vt =E0+jImXs .The current vector

angle is then determned by Power input to mc.

4. As an example if it is on noload then Im lags E0 by 90 deg and Vt =E0+ImXS .

5. If it is loaded we can obtain current angle wrt to E0 by using

E0*Im cos(theta ) =Power specified. Then draw vector diagram

to obtain angle wrt to Vterminal.
